Pigeon

When a pigeon breaks into Frances’ flat and refuses to leave, she starts to believe that this bird is actually her dead sister, Billy, reincarnated. Over time, Frances goes from frantically trying to shoo this bird out the door, to lovingly feeding it popcorn and napping with it on the sofa. But, is this too good to be true? Is this bird really the person Frances loved most in the world? Or is it just a pigeon? ‘The Pigeon’ is a story about the messy, uncomfortable, rollercoaster of grief. Of how far we’ll go to avoid dealing with it and how ultimately, we have to face it.
