Overview

Part of the

strand.

A gripping and taut drama exploring moral conflict and family loyalty from Hungarian writer-director Bálint Dániel Sós, shot in striking black and white.

When a children’s birthday party ends in a tragic incident, a well-meaning, but over-protective father attempts to shield his son from serious repercussions.

Sós’ expertly ratchets up the tension throughout his tightly constructed film, while eliciting terrific performances from his talented cast. It’s a hugely auspicious debut from the filmmaker, and one which marks him as a talent to watch.
